Water Resource Management Emphasis

  • Watersheds are studied by land use cover and GIS mapping technologies in relationship to field monitoring of lakes and streams. Engineering and biological techniques of water management are demonstrated.
  • Graduates are employed in various capacities with the USDA - Natural Resources Conservation Service, U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, U. S. Geological Survey, state department of natural resources, and county soil and water conservation districts.
  • Students are commonly hired while in school under the Student Career Employment Program (SCEP) of federal agencies to provide early career experience and eventual permanent employment.
