Wildlife Management Emphasis

  • This emphasis concentrates on wildlife and habitats.
  • The major focuses on land and wetland habitats and their animal associates with some emphasis on fisheries management.
  • Graduates fulfill the educational requirements for certification as an Associate Wildlife Biologist by The Wildlife Society.
  • Professional relationships and student development are enhanced by a student chapter of The Wildlife Society.
  • The University of Minnesota, Crookston Natural Resources Department is a member of the National Association of University Fisheries and Wildlife Programs and has a wide network of contacts which assists in student placement.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required for graduation.
