Why choose the University of Minnesota, Crookston?

  • The music minor allows students to develop a concentrated course of studies in the area of music while pursuing a major in another area. It is primarily for students who plan to earn a baccalaureate degree at the University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC) and who are able to complete the music coursework over a period of at least four years.
  • Students completing the minor may pursue opportunities in teaching beginning to intermediate piano lessons, playing church organ, directing volunteer choirs, directing community musicals, etc.
  • The minor complements all UMC academic degree programs.
