I oversee the activities of the University of Minnesota Crookston Office of Development & Alumni Relations by serving as the chief development officer and liaison from the Crookston campus to the University of Minnesota Foundation. I work with constituents to raise funds for various campus initiatives, assist with special events, and promote the Crookston campus. I also the direct U of M, Crookston and Northwest School of Agriculture alumni relations programs and lead the major gift development programs.

In my 19 years as trainer in athletics prior to my role in fundraising, it was an honor to be a mentor and role-model to thousands of student athletes. In my current position, I’m responsible for the UMC Teambacker organization, planning and managing events including Fun Nite and summer golf tournaments. I work with a variety of constituents to raise money for both athletic scholarships and athletic initiatives.

I support the goals of the Office of Development & Alumni Relations. My primary responsibilities include managing gifts received for the U of M, Crookston and work closely with the development team, donors, and the University of Minnesota Foundation to ensure donor wishes are fulfilled. I administer funds and create scholarship agreements between donors and the U of M Foundation, oversee and reconcile all development office budgets, maintain alumni and donor records, assist in facilitating the U of M, Crookston and Northwest School of Agriculture alumni boards, and edit alumni publications.

In my position, I support staff and office operations and promote the goals of the Office of Development & Alumni Relations. I assist in planning and implementing special events hosted by our department including Homecoming, Torch & Shield Recognition, alumni socials, and the Northwest School of Agriculture summer reunion. I’m involved in coordination and assistance related to the annual giving program. I facilitate our alumni electronic newsletter, coordinate a specialty scholarship committee, create department publication materials, and assist with coordination of our alumni boards.
