The University of Minnesota, Crookston Alumni Association represents all U of M, Crookston graduates from 1968 to the present day. Dedicated in 1966, the University of Minnesota Technical Institute, as it was originally called, began offering undergraduate instruction on the freshman and sophomore levels in 1966 in agriculture and business and grew significantly over the years. Known as the Trojans, these UMC alumni are a vital part of our history.
In 1993, UMC began offering baccalaureate degree programs. With this new era, the campus carries on the proud traditions of the past, while establishing itself as an educational leader. The official publication of the U of M Crookston Alumni Association (UMCAA) is the Torch.
The mission of the U of M, Crookston Alumni Association is to visibly promote and support the U of M, Crookston through communication, outreach, and recognition while building lifelong connections and preserving our legacy. For members of the UMCAA, homecoming is one of the times we want to encourage alumni to come back to campus. If you wish to plan a gathering for your friends or classmates during homecoming weekend, consider contacting the alumni office to assist the effort at 218-281-8439 (rulseth@umn.edu).
