The Mission of UMC's Career Service is to assist students in developing, evaluating, and/or implementing career, education, and employment decisions and plans. It provides career development and placement services to all members of the University community.

Career & Counseling Service staff considers the needs of all UMC students. They also promote a greater awareness within the entire University community of the world of work and the need for and nature of career development over the life span. Career services provide linkages and/or coordination among career-related programs and services.

Career Services resources provide written and video materials about employer organizations as well as information on job search strategies, computerized internet information, college catalogs and internet information, and graduate programs.

Career and Counseling Department office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Evening and weekend career and counseling planning sessions can be arranged. Career and Counseling Department is located in Suite 245 of the Sargeant Student Center.
