Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for internal and external programs related to Service Learning, which includes working with America Reads tutors in recruitment and placement
• Coordinate a volunteer clearinghouse for the City of Crookston and surrounding area
• Assist faculty and community partners in establishing service projects that are linked with academic study
• Serve as a liaison between the Service Learning office and not-for-profit agencies and organizations
• Gather, distribute and conduct research on Service Learning methods and outcomes
• Collaborate with Residential Life in supporting community service floors
• Work with and supervise student leaders
• Conduct on-site visits where students are placed and help with promotion of Service Learning through public relations efforts
• Seek grant money to expand program efforts
• Coordinate Meet Crookston Through Service as part of annual new student orientation

Educational Background:

• B.S. in English Education from Moorhead State University, Moorhead, MN
