Update - July 25, 2006
Representatives
from University Education Association, Crookston and the University
of Minnesota, Crookston met today and continued faculty contract
negotiations and exchanged proposals on topics including faculty
workload, teaching evaluation, tenure procedures, compensation,
and post-tenure review. Both sides met face-to-face on three separate
occasions throughout the day presenting proposals and asking questions
to enhance understanding of each side's perspectives. Each group
spent the remainder of the time caucusing with their respective
bargaining team.
We will
begin the discussions again tomorrow morning at 10:30 and expect
another full day of active exchange of ideas and proposals.
The
