Court of Appeals Rules on Decertification Vote
On April 24, 2007, the Court of Appeals issued a decision ruling that, for the purpose of a decertification vote, the UEA Outstate Instructional Unit (Unit 9) is considered one unit that includes both the Duluth and Crookston faculty. Therefore, the court ruled that the Bureau of Mediation Services properly dismissed the Petition for Decertification on the grounds that it does not meet the required 30 percent showing of interest from both the Duluth and Crookston faculty. More information about the litigation leading to this decision is available at: http://hr.umcrookston.edu/decert.htm.
