Crookston, Minn. (March 11, 2008) – The University of Minnesota, Crookston will host a delegation from China on Thursday, March 13, 2008. The visit from President Li Shuming of Zhejiang Economic & Trade Polytechnic, a partner university in Hangzhou, China, includes the signing of a formal agreement to establish a joint English as a Second Language (ESL) program. The signing will take place about 10:45 a.m. in the Student Center Bede Ballroom.
The ESL program will be designed and directed by the U of M, Crookston and supervised by regular visits and faculty in-service programs provided by the Crookston campus.
Prior to coming to the Crookston campus, the delegation visited with U of M administration and Crookston campus leadership on the Twin Cities campus to discuss details of the U of M, Crookston and ZJETP partnership.
