Golden Eagle Baseball Team Set to Host Northern State University

(Crookston, Minn.) – The University of Minnesota, Crookston Baseball team returns to Crookston for the first time since April 3 when they play host to Northern State University on Wednesday, April 30 in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for 4:30 pm at Jim Karn Field.

 

U of M, Crookston is 3-30 overall and 1-25 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). They are led by Jake Poehler (Fr, OF, Coon Rapids, Minn.) who is hitting .365 (35 for 96) with 19 runs batted in (RBI). Adam Lee (Fr, IF, Halstad, Minn.) is hitting .346 (18 for 52) while Tyler Reiner (Jr, C, Sanborn, Minn.) is hitting .283 (26 for 92) with 14 RBI.

The Northern State University Wolves have an overall record of 10-26 and NSIC record of 7-19. They are led by Adam Kampsen who is hitting .410 (41 for 100)  with nine homeruns and 42 RBI.
