Golden Eagle Baseball Signs Ben Lazzari (Shakopee, Minn.) to an Institutional Letter of Intent

(Crookston, Minn.) – The University of Minnesota, Crookston Golden Eagle Baseball program announced today the signing of Ben Lazzari from Shakopee, Minn., to an Institutional Letter of Intent to play for the Golden Eagles during the 2009 season.
Lazzari is a 6’1, 159 lb, right-handed pitcher, from Shakopee High School of the Missota Conference. He lettered for the Shakopee High School this past season.
“Ben Lazzari will give our pitching staff another solid arm,” says Golden Eagle Head Coach Chris Vito. “I feel that he has the ability to develop into a very nice pitcher. Ben’s best baseball is in front of him. We are excited that he will be a part of the University of Minnesota, Crookston baseball program.”
Lazzari will major in Natural Resources at the University of Minnesota, Crookston. He is the son of Rick and Patti Lazzari.

The University of Minnesota, Crookston is a NCAA Division II Institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). Golden Eagle Hockey is a member of the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association (MCHA). The Golden Eagle Equestrian team is a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).
All signees are contingent upon admission to the University of Minnesota, Crookston and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center.
