U of M, Crookston to Host Outdoor Skills Day September 6, 2008, for Area College Students

CROOKSTON, Minn. (August 22, 2008) – College students from around the area are invited to attend College Outdoor Skills Day taking place on Saturday, September 6, 2008, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Red River Valley Natural History Area, located west of the campus, and Crookston Gun Club, located north of the campus. This free event is designed to help students experience new outdoor activities or sharpen the outdoor skills they already have.|
Programs will be offered throughout the day, including fly-fish casting, target archery, rifle shooting, tracking and identification, trap shooting, tree stand safety and much more. These events are free, but students interested must pre-register.
