Campus Preview Day to be Held on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, at the U of M, Crookston; Admissions Office Welcomes New Staff

Crookston, Minn. (September 2, 2008) – New and prospective students will be able to connect with the University of Minnesota, Crookston during the first Preview Day for fall 2008 on Saturday, September 13. Families are also encouraged to attend Preview Day with their new student to learn more about the opportunities available at the Crookston campus. Preview Day provides time for new students to interact on campus before their first semester. Students can experience the campus firsthand, meet with faculty and current students.

Area high schools can look forward to visits by the U of M, Crookston admissions staff as the fall travel season begins September 15. The Crookston campus is pleased to announce the addition of several new admissions counselors including Tim Menard, Alysa Haugen, Josh Lunak and Paige Eskelson.
Paige Eskelson has been with the admissions office the longest. A 2008 business management graduate of the U of M, Crookston, Eskelson was a student worker in admissions office. She became a full-time employee following her graduation in the spring.
Tim Menard, M.A., has been a part of the admissions staff since April. He holds a a master of arts in psychology from Antioch University, Seattle, Wash., and a bachelor of arts in humanities from St. John’s University, Collegeville, Minn.

Alysa Haugen, M.S., joined the admissions staff in early August. She has a master of science in education, teaching and learning with an emphasis in health, physical education andcoaching and a bachelor of science in education with an emphasis in secondary education, social sciences both fromNorthern State University in Aberdeen, S.D.
Josh Lunak, M.S., is the most recent addition to admissions, but he has been a part of Golden Eagle coaching staff for women’s tennis. He holds a master of science in health, physical education and recreation from South Dakota State University in Brookings, S.D., and bachelor of elective studies in physical education from St. Cloud State University.
