U of M, Crookston Women’s Soccer Team Falls to Bemidji State University 2-0

(Crookston, Minn.)- Bemidji State University broke a scoreless tie with two second half goals to defeat the University of Minnesota, Crookston 2-0 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Women’s Soccer action today in Bemidji, Minn.

 

Lauren Olivares scored Bemidji State’s first goal at 48:26 while Ashlee Ellefsen put the Beavers up 2-0 at 63:48. Samantha Ross had six saves to record the shut-out.

 

Anna Ogaard (So, GK, Maple Grove, Minn.) was solid in net for the Golden Eagles with 11 saves.

 

Bemidji State University improves to 7-3-0 overall and 1-3-0 in the NSIC. The University of Minnesota, Crookston falls to 1-7-1 overall and 0-4-0 in the NSIC.

 

The Golden Eagles will return to action at home on Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5 when they play host to St. Cloud State and Concordia-St. Paul respectively in a pair of NSIC contests. Game time is slated for 1 p.m. each day.
