University of Minnesota, Crookston Hunt Seat Equestrian Team to Host Home Competition this Saturday & Sunday

Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Hunt Seat Equestrian team will host a home competition on Saturday, October 25 and Sunday, October 26 at the University Teaching and Outreach Center (UTOC) on the U of M, Crookston Campus. Saturday’s show will start at 1 p.m. while Sunday’s will begin at 9 a.m. Eleven teams and over 100 riders will take part in the event.

 

The Golden Eagles have had outstanding shows at the University of Wisconsin and South Dakota State University. U of M, Crookston Hunt Seat Coach Brooke Leininger is excited to showcase the Golden Eagles in front of a home crowd.  “The hunt seat team has had a great start to the season and we are looking forward to continuing our momentum with a successful competition at home,” says Coach Leininger. “We are excited to have the home advantage, to know the horses and to be as prepared as we are for this weekend.”

 

The public is invited and admission is free.

 

Other teams competing include Carleton College, Gustavus Adolphus College, the University of Minnesota, North Dakota State University, Rochester Community and Technical College, St. Cloud State University, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
