Crookston, Minn. (October 20, 2008) – The Red River Valley Craft Show sponsored by Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) at the University of Minnesota, Crookston  will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2008, from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. at the Crookston High School. The public is welcome; there is a $1 admission fee.

"The Red River Valley Craft Show is a great tradition, “said Brittny Johnson, SIFE co-project leader for the craft show. “This annual event has been held for 28 years in Crookston. It brings together the University community, Crookston community and the region."

Proceeds from the craft show pay for expenses and help the SIFE team fund events and competitions. Stephanie Onken along with Johnson served as co-project leaders for the event.

SIFE is a nonprofit organization that supports and enables students to learn and teach about free enterprise in real world situations. SIFE challenges students on more than 1,800 college campuses worldwide to take what they have learned in the classroom and use it to improve the quality of life for people everywhere. Student projects are designed to teach people about free market economics, business success skills, entrepreneurship, financial literacy and business ethics.
