U of M, Crookston Learning Abroad Office Offers “China Corner” on Tuesdays from 4-5 p.m. in Northern Lights Lounge, Sargeant Student Center

Crookston, Minn. (October 21, 2008) – Are you interested in learning Chinese? On Tuesdays, students from the U of M, Crookston along with members of the community can take advantage of the “Chinese Corner” from 4-5 p.m. in the Northern Lights Lounge, Sargeant Student Center. Participants may brush up on their Chinese language skills, or learn Chinese as a beginner. The public is welcome.

Four visiting students from Zhejiang Forestry University in China are helping teach Chinese while they work on their own English speaking skills. There will be free coffee for those who participate.

Rae French, study abroad coordinator, encourages people to come and learn Chinese, “The ‘China Corner’ is a great  chance to meet some of our Chinese students and learn from them while they are on campus. We hope that everyone interested will take advantage of this great opportunity.”
