Golden Eagles Men’s Hockey Team to Host Marian College on Saturday & Sunday

(Crookston, Minn.) – The University of Minnesota, Crookston Men’s Hockey team will host Marian College in Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association (MCHA) action on Friday, November 14 and Saturday, November 15 at the Crookston Civic Arena. The puck drops at 7:30 pm on Friday and 2 p.m. on Saturday.

 

The Golden Eagles have a record of 1-3-0 overall and 1-1-0 in the MCHA after splitting a series with the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) last weekend. U of M, Crookston defeated MSOE 3-1 on Friday and lost 3-2 on Saturday.

 

The Golden Eagles are led by Martin Husicka (So, Fwd, Vsetin, Czech Republic) (one goal – two assists – three points) and Brent Swanson (Jr, Fwd, Mason City, Iowa) (one goal – two assists – three points). Jacob Schira (Fr, G, Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) and Bryan Dalbec (Fr, G, Superior, Wis.) have both been solid in net. Schira has a 1.51 goals against average and .950 saves percentage. Dalbec has a 3.06 goals against average and a .922 saves percentage. Schira was also named MCHA Freshman of the Week. It was his second MCHA honor in as many weeks.

 

Golden Eagles vs. Marian College  7:30/2 p.m.  Friday/Saturday, November 14/15

 

Marian College has an overall record of 2-2-2 and MCHA record of 2-0-0. They tied Bethel College 3-3 on Friday and lost 3-2 to the Royals on Saturday. Adam Freeman (five goals – three assists – eight points) leads the Sabres. Jason Jadczak has 2.71 goals against average and a .912 saves percentage.
