CROOKSTON, Minn. (November 12, 2008) – Marshall Johnson, a senior at the University

of Minnesota, Crookston from Pomona, Calif., studying business management, was recently elected vice chair of Student Senate and the Student Senate Consultative Committee (SSCC).

The SSCC represents the students at large and not the individual campuses that make up the University of Minnesota system. One student from each campus is chosen to be a senator for this committee. Marshall had been a senator but was elected to the vice chair of the SSCC.

Besides being active in the SSCC, Marshall is also the president of the Crookston Student Association (CSA) and is a member of the Black Student Association, College Democrats and Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE).
