Golden Eagles Host Finlandia University This Friday & Saturday

(Crookston, Minn.) – The University of Minnesota, Crookston Men’s Hockey team will play host to Finlandia University in Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association (MCHA) action on Friday, December 5 and Saturday, December 6. The puck drops at 8:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. respectively at the Crookston Civic Arena.


The Golden Eagles hold an overall record of 1-8-0 and MCHA record of 1-5-0 after dropping a 6-4 non-conference decision to Hamline University of Sunday. U of M, Crookston is led by Brent Swanson (Jr, Fwd, Mason City, Iowa) who has three goals and four assists for seven points. Martin Husicka (So, Fwd, Vsetin, Czech Republic) has one goal and two assists for three points. Jacob Schira (Fr, G, Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) has a 1.89 goals against average and a .944 saves percentage.

The Lions have an overall record of 4-4-0 and MCHA record of 4-2-0 after dropping a 6-1 non-conference decision at UW-Stevens Point on Saturday. They are led by James Neitsch who has five goals and four assists for nine points. Ryan Donovan has a 4.43 goals against average and .852 saves percentage.
