University of Minnesota, Crookston Men’s Hockey Team Travels to Adrian College this Weekend

(Crookston, Minn.) – The University of Minnesota, Crookston Men’s Hockey team travels to Adrian, Mich. to face Adrian College for a Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association (MCHA) on Friday, January 16 and Saturday, January 17. The puck drops at 7 p.m. (EST) and 3 p.m. (EST).

 

The Golden Eagles hope to continue the momentum that they gained with this weekend’s sweep of Northland College (4-2 & 9-3). U of M, Crookston is led by Brent Swanson (Jr, G, Mason City, Iowa) who has scored four goals and added eight assists for 12 points. Matt Marchel (Jr, Fwd, Grand Forks, N.D.) has scored five goals and added five assists for 10 points. Jonathan Frank (Fr, Def, Wallingford, Conn.) has scored four goals and added five assists for nine points while Fred Kooser (Jr, Fwd, Omaha, Neb.) has scored four goals and added four assists for eight points. Bryan Dalbec (Fr, G, Superior, Wis.) has a 4.44. goals against average and a .890 saves percentage.

The Bulldogs have an overall record of 13-1-1 and MCHA record of 10-0-0 after sweeping Concordia (Wis.) University by scores of 9-0 and 7-0 and ranked eighth in the latest United State College Hockey Online (USCHO) poll. They are led by Shawn Skelly who has scored 16 goals and added 20 assists for 36 points. Eric Miller has scored 13 goals and added 15 points for 28 points while Adam Krug has scored 12 goals and added 16 assists for 28 points. Brad Fogal has a 1.97 goals against average and a .922 saves percentage.
