In times of financial uncertainty it is important to understand  and make the most of your personal finances. Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) at the University of Minnesota, Crookston is sponsoring a seminar on financial literacy to be held on Thursday, February 12, 2009. The seminar begins at 1 p.m. in Kiehle Auditorium with guest speaker Brad Brekken from Bremer Bank in Crookston.

Brekken has been a personal banker at Bremer for 7 ½ years. He assists individuals with deposit and consumer loan services. His career in banking has spanned 17 years and includes work as a financial services representative, registered representative, sales and service representative, and he has also worked in trust operations. He holds a bachelor’s degree in banking and finance from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks.
