Golden Eagle Hunt Seat Equestrian Team Closes Out Regular Season at UW-Madison on Saturday & Sunday

(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Hunt Seat Equestrian team closes out their regular season on Saturday, February 21 and Sunday, February 22 at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Saturday’s show will start at 1 p.m. while Sunday’s events will get underway at 9 a.m.


The Golden Eagles are looking to finish with a strong showing and qualify a few more riders for the Regional Championships on February 28 in River Falls, Wis. U of M, Crookston stands at second place in the region right now. Head Coach Brooke Leininger is looking forward to this weekend’s show. “The team has been getting stronger and more competitive throughout the year and I think that UW-Madison is going to be a successful end to the regular season,” says Coach Leininger.


Brittney Skoien (Jr, Wannaska, Minn.), Megan Claybundy (So, International Falls, Minn.), Tandra Klein (So, Hazen, N.D.) and Lauren Snively (Fr, Herndon, Vir.) are looking to qualify for the Regional Championships this weekend.
