A group of horticulture students representing the U of M, Crookston took part in PLANET (Professional Landcare Network) Student Career Days March 26-29, 2009, at Cal Poly Pomona in Pamona, Cal. 
Mike Field, a junior from Spicer, Minn., placed 5th in the Leadership Skills event.  Jada Ellenberg, a senior from Ely, Minn., and Mike Field placed 6th in the Landscape Maintenance Operation event.  Over 800 students enrolled in collegiate horticulture programs across the country participate in this annual competitive event.

Student Career Days is an annual three-day competitive event among students enrolled in horticulture programs from colleges and universities across the country.
