Boy Scouts of America Present U of M, Crookston with Print in Appreciation for Campus Support

bythe Boy Scouts of America (BSA) on Wednesday, May 15, 2009. Greta Kovar, executive director of  the Voyageur Trails District of the Northern Lights Council made the presentation of the print to Chancellor Charles H. Casey in appreciation for campus support.

The print of two bison will become part of a permanent collection of the BSA prints housed in the U of M, Crookston Library. The print was given in appreciation for the help and financial support the U of M, Crookston provides through the printing of the basic training manuals for the Cub Scouts.

The public is encouraged to visit the library to view the entire collection of prints, which were first issued in 1987. For information on the collection, contact Director of Library Services Owen Williams at 218-281-8395 (willi099@umn.edu).

The Voyageur Trails District of the Northern Lights Council serves the Minnesota counties of Kittson, Roseau, Marshall, Pennington, Red Lake and Polk.
