Mark Olsonawski Scholarship Golf Tournament Raises Over $1,500 for Golden Eagle Football Endowment

(Crookston, Minn.)- The University of Minnesota, Crookston Teambacker’s held the Mark Olsonawski Scholarship Golf Tournament on Thursday, June 25 at Two Rivers Golf Course in Hallock, Minn. Over 60 golfers participated in the 18-hole scramble which raised in excess of $1,500 for the Golden Eagle Football Endowment. Winning the tournament was the American Federal Bank team of Hallock. Team members were Derek Holt, Ron Visness, Joe Bouvette and Andrew Passanante.|
“We would like to thank all the golfers, sponsors and Two Rivers Golf Course for their continued support of the Mark Olsonawski Endowed Scholarship Golf Tournament,” says Director of Athletic Fundraising Bill Tyrrell. “With the generosity of many, this endowment continues to grow and we are very excited to give scholarships this year from this endowment to UMC football players Kolby Gruhot (Argyle, Minn.) and Eric Ogorek (Hallock, Minn.).
The tournament sponsor was Marshall Bank of Hallock, the food sponsor was Crop Insurance Associates of Hallock and the Club House sponsors were the Caribou Grill, CHS Ag Services and Crop Production Services.
The annual event was named after Mark Olsonawski for his contribution to athletics while a student-athlete at the University of Minnesota, Crookston.
