UMC Graduating Senior Kelli Barnes Joins University Admissions Team
April 28, 2006

CROOKSTON, MN (April 28, 2006) – The University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC) announces the hiring of UMC Senior Kelli Barnes of Courtenay, North Dakota, as an admissions counselor. As the newest member of the Admissions Department, she will be responsible for planning and producing marketing and recruitment activities for prospective students. She will manage an assigned territory and represent UMC at national and regional college fairs.

“I am very excited about Kelli becoming a part of the UMC Admissions team,” says Rick Eber, director of admissions. “She is a very talented and bright individual who brings a lot to the table. She has been very involved with various clubs at UMC, so she can speak about the University from her own experience as a student”

Barnes graduates in May from UMC with a degree in business management with an emphasis in marketing. She already has experience in admissions where she served as an admissions ambassador for the last two years. She is a member of the Chancellor’s Club, having earned a 4.0 GPA in fall 2005, and volunteers as the secretary/treasurer for UMC’s Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE), which was named regional champion for the eighth consecutive year in March.
