CROOKSTON, MN (July 24, 2006) – The University of Minnesota, Crookston (UMC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Koepke as the new director of facilities and operations. Koepke comes to UMC from the Fargo Public Schools where he served as the director of maintenance and operations and managed more than 100 staff members and took care of some 25 buildings. He will begin his new duties at UMC on July 31, 2006.

Koepke brings extensive experience in facilities management including improvement planning, construction, and renovation. Casey said. “With his diverse background and knowledge base, Mark will move UMC ahead and provide leadership in the areas of campus stewardship and work to enhance campus experiences for our students.”

Koepke holds a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and a master’s in business administration from the University of South Dakota. He is also a registered professional engineer.
