Golden Eagle Women’s Soccer Team Drops Tough 1-0 Overtime Decision to Bemidji State University

(Crookston, Minn.) – Ashlee Ellefsen (Fr., Fwd., Hugo, Minn.) scored 6:55 into overtime as Bemidji State University defeated the University of Minnesota, Crookston Women’s Soccer team this afternoon in non-conference action in Bemidji, Minn. The loss drops the Golden Eagles to 2-5-0 on the season. The Beavers are 4-3-1.

 

U of M, Crookston’s Athena Mussenden (So., GK., Kenosha, Wis.) was stellar in net recording 13 saves before having to leave with an injury late in the second half. Anna Ogaard (Fr., GK., Maple Grove, Minn.) filled in admirably stopping four shots while allowing one goal. The Golden Eagles managed four shots on goal.

 

U of M, Crookston will return to action on Sunday, September 16 when they travel to Jamestown College for a non-conference match with the Jimmies. Game time is 2:00 pm.
