CROOKSTON, Minn. (October 5, 2007) – Homecoming royalty were crowned during a coronation ceremony held at the University of Minnesota, Crookston on Thursday evening, October 4, 2007. 

Homecoming royalty for the U of M, Crookston for 2007 include:

Queen Tiffany Benning, Eagle Bend, Minn., a junior majoring in animal science.
King Brent Messner, McVille, N.D., a junior majoring in sport and recreation management
Princess Heather Herrig, Mountain Lake, Minn., a sophomore majoring in natural resources
Prince Stephen Funk, Nimrod, Minn., a sophomore majoring in agricultural education.

The theme for homecoming at the Crookston campus is “Let the Good Times Roll.” A theme chosen by the Crookston Student Association and carried out during homecoming week festivities. Other highlights include the induction of Janice (Gubbels) Millard, ’84, Steele Senske, ex. ’90, and Chancellor Emeritus Donald Sargeant into the Athletic Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony also honors the 2007 Outstanding Alumni, Doug Aretz, ’75, and Richard Magnusson, ’81.
