(Crookston, Minn.)- The Golden Eagle Women’s Basketball team opens the 2007-08 campaign with an exhibition game tonight. The team travels to North Dakota State University (NDSU) in Fargo, N.D. to take on the Bison in the Bison Sports Arena (BSA). Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m.

“The addition of eight new players along with seven returnees had helped this team improve in all aspects of the game,” says Head Coach Mike Roysland. “I feel we have more speed, size, scoring potential and we now have more depth. I look for a lot of our young players to see action early on this season.”

The Golden Eagles are taking the court following an 0-27 season just one year ago. The team will be led by key returners Katie Cheline (So., F, Mondovi, Wis.), Kelsey Van Ackeren (So., G, St. Cloud, Minn.) and Theresa Crance (Sr., F/C, Timber Lake, S.D.)

The game will be carried on KROX-1260 AM and web streamed at
