U of M, Crookston Men’s Hockey Squad Opens MCHA Play This Weekend

(Crookston, Minn.) – The University of Minnesota, Crookston Men’s Hockey team hits the road this Friday and Saturday to open Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association (MCHA) play at the Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). The puck drops at 7:05 pm and 2:00 pm respectively at the Kern Center.

 

The Golden Eagles (0-2-0) will be looking to gain their first win of the season after getting swept at Bethel University last weekend by scores of 4-0 and 8-2. Alex Maginnis (Fr., Fwd., Mason, City, Iowa) scored both U of M, Crookston goals on Saturday.

 

The series will be MSOE’s first games of the 2007-2008 season. The Raiders finished the 2006-2007 season with an overall record of 19-6-2 and 16-2-2 in the MCHA. They were defeated 4-3 in the Harris Cup Championship game by Finlandia University.
