Golden Eagle Men’s Hockey Team Travels to Hamline University on Saturday

(Crookston, Minn.) – The University of Minnesota, Crookston Men’s Hockey squad returns to action on Saturday when the Golden Eagles travel to St. Paul, Minn. to take on Hamline University in non-conference action. The puck drops at 7:15 pm at Drake Arena.

 

U of M, Crookston hopes to get back on the winning track in their final game before the semester break. The Golden Eagles dropped two Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association (MCHA) games at Finlandia University last Friday and Saturday by scores of 5-2 and 6-3.

 

The Golden Eagles have an overall record of 3-8-0 on the season and 2-6-0 in the MCHA. They are led by Alex Maginnis (Fr., Fwd., Mason City, Iowa) who has seven goals and two assists for nine points. Teal Plaine (Sr., Fwd., Hallock, Minn.) has one goal and six assists for seven points. Jared Kopp (Jr., Fwd., Bismarck, N.D.) has four goals and two assists for six points. Goaltender Eric Everson (Jr., G., Stevens Point, Wis.) is 3-5-0 with a 3.81 goals against average and a .905 saves percentage on the season for U of M, Crookston.

 

Hamline University has an overall record of 3-3-2 and 3-1-0 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC). They are led by Dustin Fulton who has six goals and six assists for 12 points and Jared Hummel who has one goal and 10 assists for 11 points. Zachary Faust has a 2-1-2 record in net with a 1.46 goals against average and a .941 saves percentage.
