In addition to being the first African American to graduate from the University of Notre Dame Law School with honors, Siegel has served as the senior vice president of Zomba Label Group and president of Zomba Gospel (Verity Records), the largest gospel company in the world. Zomba Label Group produces No. 1 acts like Fred Hammond, Britney Spears, N’Sync and R. Kelly.

“Given his involvement in many different industries and ventures such as gospel music and NASCAR, Mr. Siegel’s visit to our campus in honor of Dr. King’s life is something very special,” Black Student Association President and business management major Marshall E. Johnson III said. “We invite everyone from around the region to take part in this reflection on an extraordinary American hero, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We look to honor his legacy and his life’s affect on all Americans of all nationalities, races and gender.”

The annual Martin Luther King, Jr., celebration sponsored by the Black Student Association, serves as a positive, educational tool for diversity understanding, learning and overall awareness. The student organizers look to bring speakers, performers and entertainers as part of the series this semester.
