History of U of M, Crookston Men’s Basketball to be Featured in February Minnesota Timberwolves Game Programs

(Crookston, Minn.) – The Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association (NBA) will feature the history of University of Minnesota, Crookston Men’s Basketball in their February game programs. The article will run during the team’s seven home games from February 1-21, 2008.

 

The story features the program’s history going back to the school’s days as the Northwest School of Agriculture and continuing on through its years as a junior college up to the University’s transition to a four-year institution in both the NAIA and the NCAA Division II ranks. On a personal level, the article focuses on Chancellor Casey’s recommitment to Division II athletics, past All-Americans, Hall of Fame members and others who have left their mark on the University of Minnesota, Crookston men’s basketball program.
