U of M, Crookston Graduate Beverly Vogt Receives Outstanding Dietetic Technician of the Year by the American Dietetic Association

Crookston, Minn. (January 24, 2008) – University of Minnesota, Crookston alumna Beverly Vogt, Armour, S.D., has been named the Outstanding Dietetic Technician of the Year by the American Dietetic Association. Vogt, a 2005 graduate of the U of M, Crookston, worked to complete her associate degree in dietetic technician online while living and working in South Dakota. |
Vogt was honored at an awards luncheon at the annual South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations meeting held in Sioux Falls recently. The Organization is the state-wide professional/trade association representing and serving health care organizations across the State.
To be considered for the award, Vogt has to be a member of the American Dietetic Association and be registered with the Commission on Registration. The winner of this award will demonstrate concern for the promotion of optimal health and nutritional status of the population. The South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations envisions a continuum of health care services allowing residents and communities of South Dakota to reach their highest potential for health.
Vogt is employed at the Douglas County Memorial Hospital in Armour. She is also the registered dietetic technician at the Landmann- Jungman Memorial Hospital in Scotland. Vogt and her husband, Terry, have four children.
The Bachelor of Applied Health, offered at the U of M, Crookston, was the first University of Minnesota online degree, targeted to working professionals in the health industry seeking to complete a bachelor’s degree.
